Drew was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia in 2004 after completing his Bachelor of Laws at Flinders University.

Prior to joining Mouldens, Drew was a partner in a small firm in Adelaide and he previously worked as a solicitor in Port Lincoln.
